ramesh negiiDevesh Dubey,Itanagar, Sep 05: To avoid undue wastage of food materials Chief Secretary Ramesh Negi today called for strict adherence to norms for cooking mid-day meal in schools. He was addressing the state level Steering-cum-Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) meeting on Mid-Day Meal Scheme, a National Flagship programme in Arunachal Pradesh. Negi said, “Central Assistance in the form of food grains and funds released to the implementing agencies should be utilized in an optimum manner”.

Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Chief Secretary Ramesh Negi and deputy managing director of SBI (Corporate and finance) Praveen Gupta was present on the occasion.

Lohit, East Siang worst affected CM released funds

cm4Aadil Mir, Itanagar, Aug 26: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki revived the flood situation in a high level meeting at his office chamber, He directed release of an initial lump sum of Rs.10 Crore for emergency repair and restoration works. Out of which Rs. 5 Crore has been allocated to PWD, Rs.3 Crore to WRD and Rs 1 crore each to Power (Electrical) and PHE & WS Depts. This decision is in addition to Rs.15 Lakhs and Rs.7 Lakhs released to the Deputy Commissioners and Addl. Deputy Commissioners respectively of the flood affected districts to enable them to undertake immediate relief measures.

Requested Center for 8 new ITBP Bn’s, Nabam Tuki

jbduybAadil Mir,ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki revealed that he had requested the Union Home Ministry to set up eight more new ITBP battalions in Arunachal Pradesh he reveled this during a discussion with Inspector General of ITBP R K D Singh and DIGP Ajay Pal Singh, when the duo called on the former in his chamber here to seek his support for land for setting up of an ITBP training centre and briefed him about various activities of the ITBP.

Heavy downpour for last couple of days claimed one life and completely damaged three dwelling houses at Sagalee where most of the residential colony was inundated by flood water of Pare tributary during the wee hours today.

Flood Relief Fund for Lohit District Sanctioned

budget cm newDevesh Dubey, Itanagar, Jul 29: Relief and Rehabilitation Minister informed the assembly that government has sanctioned a total amount of 147.85 lakh as flood relief for Lohit district during financial year 2012-13. The minister informed this when MLA Dr Mohesh Chai in a written question wanted to know the total amount sanctioned for flood relief for the financial year 2012-13 in Tezu assembly constituency.
