EK DC takes stock of dev. projects

EAST KAMENGSEPPA, Mar 23: The East Kameng Deputy Commisisoner Sandeep Kumar Singh has conducted three days tour recently to Chayangtajo sub-division to assess the problems of the people and also to get first hand information on the status of all completed and ongoing developmental projects.

He attended series of public meetings during his visits and interacted with students, contractors and engineers of PMGSY roads, staff of CHC and sub-centers and officers of executing agencies on all completed and ongoing projects.

Addressing the PRIs, GBs and officials of Sawa Circle in a meeting at Para-Holing point on March 19, DC said that road connectivity in the area should be the first priority of the people to improve rural economies. DC informed that the 2 KM Bodo road shall be taken up under Sawa PMGSY road as per original DPR but cautioned the people not to claim compensation of land.


He further urged the people to cooperate with the executing agency for completion of Seppa to Chayangtajo road in time.

The DC further suggested the people to lodge complaints in case of absence of teachers and health workers and assured take action against the absentees.

Responding to the demand of a HGB on decentralization of powers, he assured to work out the modalities to solve the cases at their level.

At Chayangtajo on the next day, he directed the govt. staff to stay at Chayangtajo and work with sincerity and dedication. He advised the people especially the youth to take up agriculture and allied activities in a big way for sustainable income and self reliance.

Taking about PMGSY roads, he asked the contractors to maintain quality of works.

DRDA PD, K. Nyodu briefed about IAY, IWMP & MNREGA and urged the beneficiaries to open bank accounts as the transactions shall be done through bank account. He cautioned the people not to sell the CGI sheets provided under IAY meant for construction of house.

The DC while interacting with students of Divine Word School, Nari Camp & KGBV Chayangtajo advised them to concentrate in their study and to keep away from early marriage. He also advised them to develops skills in traditional arts and crafts and other co-curricular activities and also advised them to preserves own language and culture keeping pace with the modernization.

DC alongwith ADC Chayangtajo Ashok Tajo, former MLA Tamey Yangfo, senior leaders Tara Bagang and others visited sites of PMGSY roads of Saws, Krema Pao, Phassang Nyopin, Sangchu, Yangfo, Rebe and Kessay Bagang. He also inspected the ongoing 2x100 KW Micro hydel and APEDA mini hydro projects at Jayang Bagang.
