State LogoAadil Mir, Itanagar, Aug 7: Treating security and development as two sides of the same coin, the officers of state Govt and Army officers in a high-level meeting held at Likabali recently proposed concrete and mission oriented measures to be taken to give impetus to road and tele-communication infrastructures and land acquisition for security related projects. Such measures will not only enhance the defence preparedness of troops in Arunachal Pradesh, but will go a long way towards development of border areas, making available the desired amenities to people in remote border villages, the meeting observed.

Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Passed Assembly Budget 2014-15

assemblyrDevesh Dubey, Itanagar, Jul 29: In a marathon debate held over the 140.02 crore deficit budget 2014-15 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly has finally passed their general budget. Chief Minister Nabam Tuki responded to the quarries during budget discussion and disclosed that he had done proper homework before the preparation of the  budget and  the  budget was prepared after due consultation with the state’s line departments.

18 overhaul schemes for mini/small hydel projects in progress: Govt

Aadil Mir, Itanagar, Jul 25: The hydro power department of the state Government is taking up construction of new small hydro power projects and also reviving low efficient/defunct micro/mini/small hydro electric power stations through its renovation and modernization schemes with the support of Central Govt. This was informed by the power minister in the Assembly while responding to a star question raised by BJP MLA Kento Rina today. Rina has asked the minister whether the Government is contemplating on building micro hydro projects or reviving the defunct ones or encouraging renewable energy to improve the power scenario.

3 hydel projects of Arunachal gets green light

CM seeks Centre’s support for early creation of Greenfield airport

Tuki seeks RajuAadil Mir, New Delhi, July 17: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki called on Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju at New Delhi and appealed for sanctioning of the Greenfield Airport at Hollongi to allow the start of construction activities in the current financial year.
