Tuki bats for continuing ‘special category status’ for NE states

NEW DELHI, Mar 27: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has appealed for continuing the Special Category Status for North Eastern States with the corresponding benefits. He was speaking at the first meeting of the Sub-Group on Rationalization of Centrally Sponsored Schemes of NITI Aayog at New Delhi today.

Govt committed to promote films from NE

mibNEW DELHI, Mar 12: Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Bimal Julka said that the ministry has been focusing on showcasing films from the North East to encourage production of films in the region. He said a North East Film Festival was held in New Delhi recently which attracted a large audience. Julka was speaking at the inaugural session of the third edition of the Indian Panorama Film Festival today at U Soso Tham auditorium in Shillong.

160 power projects to be executed in Arunachal: Tuki

tuki singleItanagar: Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki on Monday said the state government has signed memorandum of understandings (MoUs) and memorandum of agreements (MoAs) with power developers to execute 160 projects in the state. The projects will have a total installed capacity of 46,948 MW.
