Governor, CM convey Pham-Kho Sowai greetings

tuki vjhgjyhgITANAGAR, Sept 9: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh JP Rajkhowa and Chief Minister Nabam Tuki have conveyed their sincere greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Pham-Kho-Sowai, a popular festival of the Bugun Community of West Kameng District to be celebrated on September 10.


Rajkhowa expressed the hope that the festivity will usher in happiness, peace, bumper harvest and prosperity for all.
Pham-Kho-Sowai was accorded official recognition at the initiative of the Chief Minister in 2013 much to the happiness of Bugun community. The State Government later declared September 10 as a holiday for celebration of the harvesting festival.


Tuki hoped that the celebration of the festival would pave way for equality, bonhomie and peace.
The Chief Minister called upon all communities of the state to shed their differences if any and work in unison for overall development of the state and welfare of its citizens.
