Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa Sworn-in as 17th Governor of Arunachal

tuki with jp rajJune 2, Itanagar: Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa was sworn in as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhawan, Itanagar on 1st June 2015. He is the 17th Governor to be sworn in as the Governor of the State.

Hon’ble Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Justice K.Sreedhar Rao, administered the oath of office.

First Lady of the State Rita Rajkhowa, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, his cabinet colleagues, Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Nabam Rebia, former Chief Minister Gegong Apang, senior officers, public leaders, special invitees and distinguished guests attended the function.

 

The swearing-in ceremony was followed by State Guard of Honour presented by Arunachal Pradesh Police.

Later a brief introduction of the State Cabinet was held at Raj Bhawan.
