CM inaugurates Heema Hospital Annexxe building

heemaITANAGAR, May 24: “We now have our very own super multi-specialty hospital at home, why go anywhere else?,” said Chief Minister Nabam Tuki. He was addressing a gathering during the inaugural function of the Heema hospital annexxe building.
The chief minister assured that Rs. 10 crore will be earmarked as corpus fund for all the government hospitals and NGO run hospitals of the state to support them in procuring medicine and other modern equipments.

The new hospital building has 50 beds, CT Scan, 4D Color Doppler, Digital X-Ray and OT complex. A sky bridge connects the annexxe building with the hospital.
While calling upon the general public to make maximum use of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme, he further requested that his office may be contacted if there is any problem in availing the benefits of the scheme.
Senior surgeon Dr. S Nath was felicitated for his service on the occasion. Heema Hospital, Chief Managing Director (CMD) Byabang Rana while recalling the journey of Heema hospital which started with a small room and a doctor at C sector to a multi specialty hospital informed that Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme has been introduced in the hospital.
“Till now, more than 100 people have benefitted from the scheme,” informed the CMD.
PHED minister Takam Pario also spoke on the occasion.
Heema hospital had initially started from a small room with a single doctor in 2002 at C-sector. The hospital was shifted to the present location in 2007.
