Biometric census operations launched
CM Tuki got himself registered under the NPR trough Biometric Enrolment, marking the official launch of the census operations in Arunachal Pradesh. NPR aims to create a comprehensive database in the country with full identification details, recording every resident in the country. It is likely to help in better targeting of benefits and services under government schemes, improving planning and preventing identity fraud.

Chief Minister chairs the 1ST SLSMC meeting 
The development of 10 identified slums was approved in the capital complex under the Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) across the country by the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) in a meeting presided over by the CM. It also approved the Rental Housing Projects at Itanagar and Naharlagun. The key objective of this scheme is to protect the economic future of cities by integrating the urban poor into mainstream, providing shelter to all and holistic development of slums. 

Solid waste management project inducted
Honourable CM Nabam Tuki inaugurated an ambitious project for management of solid waste at Chimpu. Costing Rs 1194.38 lakhs , this plant can process 50 MT of biodegradable waste per day converting it into useful resources like compost. The residue, called ‘Bioplus’ can be used as a fertilizer or as soil amendment. 
Arun e-PDS for launched for Papum Pare district
Honourable CM Tuki launched the web enabled Arun e-PDS system for Papum Pare district. In line with the Constitution ‘s guarantee of right to food, this system aims to provide easy, fast and accountable services in supplying PDS items to the most vulnerable sections. This mechanism is expected to start a new era of PDS delivery in the state by ensuring timely supply of items from FCI to fair price shops, preventing leakage.
Chief Minister gets approval for one CRPF Battalion
Union Home ministry approved one CRPF battalion consisting of 1000 trained personnel for Itanagar city. Also, the Union Minister was requested to allot airports in strategically important locations of Lumla and Tawang.

  • Establishment of NIFT Sagalee  approved by Centre Dr KS Rao, Union Minister for Textiles, gave his consent to establish a new National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at Sagalee . This development was in response to the policy level thrust of the CM to create state level centers of national excellence in order to improve the scope of employability and world class training to students
  • Arunachal Pradesh granted Rs 62 Crore for MGNREGAUnion Ministry for Rural Development provided funds worth Rs 62 Crores to Arunachal state forthe enactment of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act More than 9000 Arunachalees participate in a job fair in ItanagarOver 9000 Arunachali youngsters took part in a job fair/skill development program organized in Itanagar. Sectors they were recruited for comprise insurance, BPO, hospitality and retail, aviation, tourism, customer service, health care. It was also declared that the previous year target of getting 10,000 individuals was surpassed with 17,327 people getting hired.
  • DoNER Ministry offers to sponsor 200 youth from ArunachalThe Ministry for development of North East proposed to sponsor 200 individuals from Arunachal in different vocational and skill development programmes under premier institutes such as NIFT, Ashoka Institute of Hospitality and Tourism under ITDC ‘GUIDE’ , a new educational scheme introducedAn innovative scheme titled GUIDE was launched by the department of education for nurturing government schools. Based on the concept of mentoring, this scheme doesn’t requires any financial expenditure and works on the principle of pairing up of a selected school (pupil) with an officer (mentor). Chiefly, it aims to improve the examination performances of students
  • Arunachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) inaugurated CM Tuki inaugurated the freshly constructed office building of the Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board at Chandranagar. It was asserted that this indigenous sector has the potential to tackle the problem of unemployment in the state.

  • CM Tuki conferred Lifetime Achievement Award for Peace :

 

CM of Arunachal state, Mr Nabam Tuki was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement award for Peace by the International Association of Educators of World Peace (IAEWP), affiliated to the United Nations. He was also the recipient of the Green State of the Year Award conferred by the body Clean up the Earth (CUTE) on behalf of the Arunachal Government

 

  • Rs 1 Crore donated for Uttarakhand flood victims :

 

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki’s ingenuity met with an overwhelming response when on his recommendation, several state government employees contributed their one day salaries, amounting to over Rs 1 crore for the rehabilitation of the Uttarakhand disaster victims

MOU signed by Government and SBI
The Arunachal government entered into an agreement with the State Bank of India which proposed to offer financial benefits to all state government employees having accounts in SBI. This scheme, titled State Government Salary Package (SGSP) aims to provide many free of cost services such as internationally accepted ATM cum debit cards, multi city cheques, drafts, loans on concession and a personal accidental insurance facility. Also, the SBI approved establishment of new branches (of the bank) at Tuting and Sagalee

Meeting with Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission
The annual plan size for the state of Arunachal for the period 2013-14 was fixed at Rs 3700 crores including Rs 3177 Crore of Central Assistance in a meeting between the honourable CM and Deputy Chairman Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia. This is almost 17.44 % larger than last year’s revised outlay of Rs 3010 Crore. Such an upraise has been possible as the State witnessed an impressive average annual growth rate of 9.4 % over the 11TH five year plan, much above the national average growth rate of 7.9%

Release of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief approved
Courtesy the instant authorization by CM Tuki, Arunachal government employees’ demand for Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief was fulfilled. According to a government notice, the DA payable to State government employees was increased from 65% to 72%, with effect from July 1, 2012. Similarly, the DR payable to state government/family pensioners was increased to 72 % with effect from July 1, 2012

  • Arunachal Pradesh state medicinal plant board building inaugurated : CM Tuki inaugurated a recently constructed State medicinal plant board at Chimpu. He suggested coming up with innovative proposals for medicinal and aromatic plants and asked people to wean always from jhum cultivation practices
  • Water treatment plant at Bomdila inaugurated  : The usually water deficit town of Bomdila got a new surge of life with the commencement of the Water Supply Township Project and the subsequent inauguration of a Water Treatment Plant
  • Government approvesd Border Haat at Pangsau : CM Tuki’s determination fared well with the Central Government approving opening of a Border Haat at Pangsau Pass along the India-Myanmar border in Changlang district. This first of its kind border haat is expected to stimulate developmental activities for people living in close proximity of border areas
